Canal Boat Ride and Banbury

Banbury is a busy town. The Oxford Canal runs through it and it is very popular with canal boats. I was walking on the north Oxford canal toward a little village when I stopped at a lock to watch a canalboat go through the locks. I have been fascinated with canals and canal now boats for a long time. I have read lots of books on the subject and have a fantasy of riding on one. I talked to a couple at one of the locks on the canal and they invited me on their boat to ride back to Banbury. Chris even make me a cup of tea. It was a beautiful ride.
I leave Banbury today and take the train to Matlock in the high Peak District of England.
