Oxford

The Barbara Pym conference was great. It lasted for three days, and we heard talks, took trips and we met lots of wonderful people. Oxford is a beautiful city. There are too many people there but if you get up early enough you can have some of the streets to yourself. Mother sent me to the beautiful little town of Iffley right on the outskirts of Oxford. There is a very old church there called St. Mary's.

Below is a famous bridge ;sometimes called the Bridge of Sighs. The gardens are near Christ Church College.
